Homework for the week of 9/2/14 – 9/5/14

Today I sent home a homework packet in your child’s front binder pocket. This packet included a list of spelling words, a math worksheet, and a calendar page that told you what to complete each night of the week. You and your child should complete one activity on the tick tack toe board each night as well as read for at least 10 minutes. On wednesday is when you should complete the math worksheet that was in the packet.

In addition to the homework packet, I also sent a ziploc bag with 5 word wall word flashcards in it. I would like for you to study these flashcards as a part of your child’s nightly reading log. Please work on this homework nightly so that it will not be overwhelming to you and your child to do all of it in one night. The homework packet is due back at school on Friday!

If you have any questions please email me at erogers@ccps.us, send me a note in your student’s binder, or call the school!

Homework and Important forms!

Last Thursday, I sent home your student’s yellow folder with orms inside that need to be filled out and returned to school as soon as possible! I have received most of the forms but I am still missing a few. Please take the time to fill out these forms and return them to school. Also please let me know if you need another copy of a form and I will be happy to get that for you!

For homework this week I sent home an “All About Me” poster for you and your student to fill out. This needs to be filled out and returned to school on Friday. Please take the time to work on this with your student because I will be hanging it up in our classroom on the week that your child is chosen as our Star Student!

Welcome to 1st grade!
